To be considered for multi-year support, your organisation will need to complete a simple eligibility check.
The eligibility check will ask for:
- basic organisational and contact details
- information about your organisation’s governance structure (including a list of all board or committee members and a basic skills matrix)
- a copy of your organisation’s most recent fully signed audited financial reports.
Arts Tasmania will use any information provided in the eligibility check to determine:
- whether your organisation has an appropriate governance structure
- whether your organisation is legally formed and solvent
- has a track record of securing income from non-Tasmanian Government sources.
If these requirements are met, your organisation will be invited to submit a full application. This process should take one to two weeks.
You will not need to include any of the information provided in the eligibility check as part of the application.
Full application
If your organisation is invited to complete a full application, it will need to strongly address all assessment criteria by:
- providing a detailed program and budget for the first year of activity, and an outline of the programs and projected budgets for the other three years of activity
- providing evidence of strong strategic planning (that covers at least 2026-27)
- showing evidence of confirmed (or highly likely ) cash income of at least 35 per cent of the overall budget for the first year of activity (from sources other than the Tasmanian Government).
Grant request
Cultural heritage organisations can submit one application, requesting between $50,000 and $150,000 per annum for four years.
Arts Tasmania expects that museum professionals are paid fairly for their work. For more information, please visit wages and fees.
Equipment cannot be covered by grant funds.
