Aboriginal Arts Program
This program supports Aboriginal people to share their culture, stories and heritage through traditional and non-traditional arts and cultural activities.
- Eligible individuals and groups can apply for up to $15,000.
- Eligible organisations can apply for up to $20,000.

- Eligibility
- a Tasmanian Aboriginal artist who has lived in Tasmania for six of the last 12 months
- a group with at least one Tasmanian Aboriginal member who has lived in Tasmania for six of the last 12 months
- an Aboriginal-led organisation based in Tasmania
- an organisation working on an arts activity with Tasmanian Aboriginal artists.
- Eligible individuals and groups can apply for up to $15,000.
- Eligible organisations can apply for up to $20,000.
- creative development (including materials) and research
- presenting work (exhibitions, performances, and publications)
- local, national, or international residencies
- professional development activities including mentorships.

Arts Tasmania expects that artists are paid fairly for their work. Artist wages and fees should be included in all application budgets. For more information, please visit the artist remuneration guidelines.
You cannot use grant funds to purchase equipment.
Assessment
Applications will be assessed by a panel of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people using the criteria of:
