This program supports:

  • Tasmanian individuals and groups to travel locally, nationally or internationally for arts or cultural heritage opportunities, and,
  • Tasmanian individuals, groups and organisations to bring professionals to Tasmania for arts or cultural heritage activities (including professional development opportunities or workshops).

Travel within Tasmania must include at least one overnight stay outside your Local Government area.

Arts Tasmania will contact you about your application within 10 weeks of the closing date.

    This program accepts applications from:

    • individual artists who have lived in Tasmania for six of the past 12 months
    • groups with at least one member who has lived in Tasmania for six of the past 12 months
    • arts or cultural heritage organisations based in Tasmania.

    Organisations in receipt of multi-year or annual program funding from Arts Tasmania for activities in 2026 are not eligible to apply for support under Artsbridge.

    You must also meet our general eligibility requirements.

    What can I apply for?

    Individuals and groups can apply for funds towards travel locally, nationally or internationally for arts or cultural heritage opportunities, bringing professionals to Tasmania for arts or cultural heritage activities (including professional development opportunities or workshops).

    • Local travel means travel within Tasmania and must include at least one overnight stay outside your Local Government area.
    • National travel means travel to another state or territory, within Australia.
    • International travel means travel to another country.

    Organisations can apply for funds towards bringing professionals to Tasmania for arts or cultural heritage activities (including professional development opportunities or workshops).

    • Professionals must be travelling to Tasmania from interstate (another state or territory within Australia) or overseas (another country).

    Grant funds cannot be used for equipment purchases.

    • How does the proposed activity benefit the applicant, the artist, or the community?
    • What is the audience experience?
