Individuals and groups 2026-27
This program supports individuals and groups to undertake projects that enable them to further their careers, enrich their artistic practice and contribute to Tasmania's arts sector.
The Minister for the Arts has announced funding of $427,937 for 20 activities.
Funding recommendations were made by expert peers drawn from the Cultural and Creative Industries Expert Register.

Advice for future applicants
Quality
- Explain why your activity matters and why now is the right time for it.
- Describe your concept in enough detail for the peers to understand what you plan to do.
- Include enough examples of your artistic work to demonstrate its quality. Choose recent, relevant examples.
Planning
- Keep the activity focused and realistic.
- Provide a detailed timeline that shows the activity is achievable.
- Show how each cost was calculated, using the description field in the budget to explain your figures.
- Show how artist wages and fees were calculated, with reference to industry rates.
- Include contingency plans for any income that is not yet confirmed.
- Include letters of confirmation from the people and organisations named in your application.
Benefit
- Explain how the activity will benefit you, as well as the sector or broader community.
- Say who your audience is and how the work will reach them.
- Include independent letters of support that show demand for the activity.
Writing and support material
- Write in plain English and avoid jargon.
- Get someone to proofread your application.
- Curate your support material carefully so it is relevant to the activity.
- Make sure all links work.
- Use clear filenames and formatting for attachments.
