Artsbridge (March 2026)

This program supports opportunities for individuals and groups based in Tasmania to take up intrastate, interstate, or international activities, or to bring arts professionals to Tasmania to conduct creative and/or professional development activities.

A delegate of the Minister for Arts and Heritage has approved funding of $29,300 for five (5) activities through the March 2026 round of Artsbridge.

Feedback from the expert peers

The peers discussed the overall quality of the applications and made the following comments:

  • Applications should include a clear, plain-English explanation of the activity.
    • Peers want to know about key conceptual drivers, and how the activity progresses or sustains the applicant’s artistic practice.
    • Applications focused on professional development should include detail on how the activity grows skills or builds networks, and how it will move the applicant’s career forward.
    • Applicants were encouraged to include information on both outputs and outcomes, and plans for how outcomes would be measured.
  • Budgets should be clear and detailed, with the sources for all costs explained.
    • They should include artist wages and fees for all personnel, in line with industry standards.
  • Applications should include a clear and achievable timeline for the activity.
  • Support material should be carefully curated and not exceed the recommended limits.
  • Applicants should include a CV or biography for each person involved in the activity.
    • Applications to Arts Tasmania’s competitive programs are assessed by multi-artform peer panels so it is important to give them as much information as possible to help in the assessment each application.
  • Where possible, applications should include artistic support material showing the past work of each key creative.
    • This can include works in progress or past works that are recent and/or relevant to the activity.
    • If the activity includes live performance, videos or recordings of previous performances are recommended to demonstrate the audience experience.
  • Support material should be accessible for all peers.
    • Files should be in a format that can be viewed on either a PC or a Mac (PDF is recommended).
    • Links should be active and clearly direct peers to the material to be viewed.
    • If providing a link to a file share system or cloud drive, all files it contains should be clearly labelled.
    • Links to material that is behind paywalls or requires membership to access should be avoided.
  • Applicants were encouraged to show a draft of their application to a friend or colleague for feedback and proofreading prior to submitting.
