Vanishing Point – Carol Patterson
Vanishing Point
Vanishing Point is a collection of 22 short stories written between 2021 and 2023. The stories are eclectic and universal, with each story exploring space and time while sustaining a tonal, emotional consistency. In them, Carol seeks to explore forms such as Greek myth, European folk story and fairy tale, in addition to music and literary forms, including magic realism. Each story immerses the reader in entirely different, vividly depicted settings with complex and contrasting characters, while principally set in a Tasmania that we all know.
About the author
Carol Patterson is a widely published and anthologised short story writer with three collections published. She has received grants from Arts Tasmania and the Australia Council. This experience has helped her to understand and appreciate a range of people's life journeys, and their needs, aspirations and dilemmas. Carol has always been a keen bushwalker.
