How are the entries judged?

Entries to each category are assessed by a panel of independent judges.

When will the winners of the 2022 Tasmanian Literary Awards be announced?

The longlists for the book prizes were released on 14 October 2022. The shortlists for all the awards will be announced on 15 November and the winners will be announced on 15 December 2022.

Can I receive feedback on my entry?

No.  The terms and conditions of the Tasmanian Literary Awards state that judges decisions are final. Feedback on the decisions of the judges will not be available.

Can I have my books returned?

No. The terms and conditions of the Tasmanian Literary Awards state that books or other materials submitted for the Tasmanian Literary Awards will not be returned.

What happens to my books after the awards?

When published books are no longer required for the administration of the awards they are donated to the Corrective Services libraries through Libraries Tasmania.
