How are the entries judged?
Eligible entries to each award category are assessed by a panel of independent judges.
When will the winners of the 2025 Tasmanian Literary Awards be announced?
The longlists for the book prizes will be released in December 2024. The shortlists for all the awards will be announced in February 2025 and the winners will be announced in March 2025.
Can I receive feedback on my entry?
No. The terms and conditions of the Tasmanian Literary Awards state that judges’ decisions are final. Feedback will not be available.
Can I have my books returned?
No. The terms and conditions of the Tasmanian Literary Awards state that any books or materials submitted to Arts Tasmania for the Tasmanian Literary Awards will not be returned.
What happens to my books after the awards?

When published books are no longer required for the administration of the awards they are donated to Tasmania’s Corrective Services libraries through Libraries Tasmania.
