Too Many Tigers – Monica Reeve
Too Many Tigers
Most people know of the Tasmanian tiger, but do they know how they became extinct, and were there ever ‘too many tigers’? Too Many Tigers is a detailed pictorial timeline which takes the viewer on an emotive journey to explore the circumstances that led to the extinction of the Tasmanian tiger. The text concludes with an information page that encourages the reader to learn more about Tasmanian’s threatened species and how they can learn from the past to better care for the precious wildlife we have today. Too Many Tigers was meticulously illustrated by hand using repurposed cut-paper collage and pencil (age range 8 to 99 years).
