The MONA Scholarship
Offers a $12 500 bursary to an emerging Tasmanian artist for materials and equipment to make their art. The artist also holds an exhibition and MONA can select one piece from the exhibition for their permanent collection.
RACT Youth Portraiture Prize
Open to submission of portraits of living Tasmanians by Tasmanian artists aged 30 and under. The major prize is $5 000 plus a trip to Sydney to view the Archibald Prize Exhibition.
Southern Cross Young Achiever awards
One of the Southern Cross Young Achiever Awards, the Bokprint Arts & Cultural Development Award is for any artist 28 years and under. Winners receive $1,000 and extensive media promotion.
Australian/Vogel Literary Award
Presented for unpublished manuscripts by a writer under the age of 35. The award offers publication by Allen and Unwin and prize money totalling $20 000.
Australian Youth Orchestra (AYO) Scholarships
AYO Scholarships are available for three outstanding musicians selected to play in the Australian Youth Orchestra.
Brett Whiteley Studio Travelling Art Scholarship
Offers a scholarship for a talented young artist with an established body of work, who is best able to demonstrate the benefit of the scholarship to further his or her art education in Europe.
Churchie National Emerging Art Prize
Prize available across five categories of paintings, works on paper, photography and sculpture. Finalists from all Australian states and territories will be pre-selected with the overall winner rewarded with a $15 000 cash prize.
