Arts law workshops

Arts Tasmania is partnering with the Arts Law Centre of Australia and the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre (TAC) to deliver workshops that explore the important legal issues that may be facing Tasmanian artists, arts organisations and arts businesses.

There will also be an opportunity after the workshop sessions to have one-on-one consultations to seek advice on legal matters related to personal arts practices.

Appointments will be approximately 30 minutes each and bookings are essential.

The Law for Creatives workshops

The workshops will be run by Senior Solicitor, Suzanne Derry, who will explore the important legal issues that may be facing Tasmanian artists, arts organisations and arts businesses.

Held in both Hobart and Launceston the sessions will cover the basics on copyright and moral rights, design registration, trade mark, Indigenous cultural and intellectual property, contracts, online and social media issues, licensing and creative collaborations.

Tasmanian Aboriginal artists and cultural practitioners workshops
