Arts Tasmania is moving to Parliament Square

The Hobart office of Arts Tasmania is moving to a new premises on Monday 25 September 2017.

The move to the new Salamanca Building, Parliament Square, will bring all the business units in Department of State Growth's Cultural and Tourism Development Division together in one space with Arts Tasmania co-located with Events Tasmania, Screen Tasmania and the Tourism and Hospitality Supply Unit.

The move will provide greater opportunities for collaboration and closer working relationships across the division and Department of State Growth as it continues to promote and develop Tasmania's cultural and creative industries.

The availability of Arts Tasmania staff for our clients will not change. All of our clients are welcome to make an appointment to meet staff at mutually convenient times. Visitors will need to report to the concierge/reception desk located in the foyer of the Salamanca Building where they will be met by an Arts Tasmania staff member.

Arts Tasmania are also pleased that the public artwork, Shutter by Judith Abell, commissioned by the Tasmanian Government Art Site Scheme in 2008 for the current Elizabeth Street offices, will be installed prominently in the foyer of the Salamanca Building, Parliament Square.

This move will not affect northern Tasmania staff who will remain at the Arts Tasmania office at Cornwall Square in Launceston.
