|Location||Mary Hutchinson Women’s Prison, Risdon Vale|
|Artwork||External seating and enhancement of children’s play area fence|
|Artwork budget||$42 984 + GST|
Applications are sought from artists and designers to create external seating for women and their children held at the Mary Hutchinson Women’s Prison.
Women and their babies and children up to two years of age, will be held at the centre. The seating should provide an opportunity for the women to relax and socialise outdoors as well as bring some vitality to the prison space. The embellishment to the fence surrounding the children’s play area should appeal to very young children and introduce some colour and stimulation to their environment.
Artists must contact the Program Officer to register for a site visit to the prison on Monday 27 August as no architectural plans or photos can be supplied. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org before the 22 August to register.
