Opportunity for artists to attend the Australian Performing Arts Market roadshow
Tuesday, 21 February 2017
Arts Tasmania and the Australia Council are offering the opportunity for up to five Tasmanian performing arts practitioners, administrators or marketers to attend the Australian Performing Arts Market (APAM) roadshow in Melbourne on Friday 24 March 2017.
APAM provides an opportunity for national and international presenters to discover and book Australian work for their venues or festivals. It will take place in Brisbane from 19-23 February 2018 and offers attendees an extraordinary opportunity to network, see the work of other companies and artists and to build relationships with presenters and festivals.
In the lead up to APAM, roadshows are held around the country to help prepare those interested in attending APAM. It is a chance to hear about plans for APAM 2018, get advice on how to get involved, hear from experienced APAM attendees who will discuss how to attending the market.
There are five $300 subsidies (to assist with airfares and transfers) for Tasmanian performing arts practitioners to attend the roadshow at the Malthouse Theatre in Melbourne on Friday 24 March from 3:30 – 5:30 pm.
This is a valuable introduction for creative, administrative, or marketing practitioners, particularly for those new to APAM. It is also a great chance to meet and network with interstate peers.
