NW Artists Survey Update

As part of the initial evaluation of the recent NW Artists Survey, findings have shown that artists in the NW region recognise the need for increased sales and improved relationships with both commercial and public arts spaces. With this in mind arts@work are pleased to confirm that a new marketing initiative has been developed in conjunction with the Cradle Coast Authority designed to drive more visitors to both commercial and regional art galleries in the North West of the state.

As part of the initiative, 14 galleries and working arts spaces have been offered free publicity in both the Western Wilderness and NW Coast Touring guides. The space provided is worth $2,500 and has been made available through the generous sponsorship of the Cradle Coast Authority as it recognizes the importance of the arts to the Tasmanian visitor experience.

The guides, which are an essential part of the visitor information network are due to be launched in late February 2009.
