International Acts to Headline New Festival

Featuring a stellar line-up of local and interstate artists and including one of the world's leading acts, MONA FOMA (Museum of Old and New Art, Festival of Music and Art) will be a significant new event on Tasmania's 2009 music and arts calendar.

Launched today, MONA FOMA is an opportunity for our community to experience some of the most exciting and inventive music, sound and visual arts works that there is to experience.

MONA FOMA will include performances, installations, exhibitions and workshops in venues across Hobart from 9 - 12 January 2009.

The festival will raise Tasmania's profile as an exciting location for arts and also give local artists the opportunity to share the stage with national and international artists.

Thanks to the support of the State Government and the Museum of Old and New Art, most of the events in MONA FOMA are free.
