Design event to recycle your old posters
Design Island, the Tasmanian Government's development event for the design industry, is practising what it preaches about sustainable design.
This year Design Island promotional material will be screen-printed on recycled, abandoned and outdated posters.
arts@work wants to give a new life to more than 500 posters but your help is needed to recover them.
Do you have leftover posters printed for an event which are now obsolete? Do you have a wad of old maps or architectural plans that have become outdated?
If you have a pile of old posters in a store room, garage, office, attic or archive that are no longer needed, arts@work would love to reuse them.
They will be almost unrecognisable once they are recycled, and you'll get recognition (and a big thank you) in the Design Island printed program.
If you can assist, please contact Helen Walpole, Project Coordinator for Design Island, or phone 6237 6323.
