The Tasmanian Government Art Site Scheme Commission
|Artwork||External artworks - wall based or freestanding|
|Artwork budget||$37 800 + GST (if applicable)|
|Location||Lenah Valley Primary School|
Applications are sought from contemporary artists to create external artworks that will appeal to very young children to be situated in the playground area of Lenah Valley Primary School.
The school has identified sustainability as a key theme for artists to consider when developing their ideas for the commission. The school has an established garden, greenhouse and purpose built kitchen where students can enjoy eating what they have grown. Artwork proposals could incorporate a range of elements or be interactive as long as the ideas appeal to very young children. Space is at a premium at the school and artists will need to design artworks that fit tight spaces.
