Are you working in Aboriginal Arts?

The Aboriginal Arts Fund is aimed at supporting Aboriginal artists, Aboriginal arts organisations and other organisations that are committed to projects that stimulate the practice of contemporary, traditional and non-traditional Aboriginal artforms.

Projects may include work in any artform, community based work that engages Aboriginal people, residencies, mentorships and exhibitions.

About this funding round

Arts Tasmania is strongly committed to the support of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and arts practice, in particular, the preservation and revitalisation of Aboriginal artforms and traditions.

The Aboriginal arts fund is aimed at supporting Aboriginal artists, Aboriginal arts organisations and other organisations that are committed to projects that stimulate the practice of contemporary, traditional and non-traditional Aboriginal artforms.

Projects may include work across any artform, community based work that engages Aboriginal people, residencies, mentorships and exhibitions. It is important that applications provide evidence of artistic excellence and clearly describe the benefits to Aboriginal traditions and communities. Anybody interested in accessing this fund is encouraged to liaise with the Arts Tasmania’s Aboriginal Arts Program Officer, Lola Greeno.
