TAAB Board Update
The Tasmanian Arts Advisory Board acts as an advocate for the arts and cultural sector, providing broad policy advice on arts industry issues to government. The Board’s role is to support you, the artists and arts organisations, in your creativity and pursuit of artistic excellence.
Meeting six times per year, the TAAB provides recommendations to the Minister for the Arts on a range of issues relevant to the arts, including the allocation of the annual grants and loans program.
Many of the issues discussed and recommendations made by the Board could potentially inform or influence your practice or organisation. In the interests of keeping you abreast of Board discussions, a summary of those discussions and recommendations will now be available for you to download and review at the conclusion of each Board meeting.
By making this Board Update available to you, the Board hopes to keep you informed about how it’s working to support you and to achieve its vision of a robust, diverse, vibrant arts sector in Tasmania which is valued by Tasmanians and which is nationally and internationally recognised.
