Melissa Smith

Program Officer

  • Roving Curator Program
  • Tasmanian Government Art Site Scheme (North/North West)

Melissa’s first degree was in Secondary Art teaching. Her first job was at Scotch Oakburn College where she worked for twenty seven years, as the Head of Visual and Performing Arts. In her spare moments she completed a Masters of Cultural Heritage and has maintained her own practice as a printmaker. This appreciation and interest in heritage and education, combined with a passion for contemporary art was a perfect combination to step into her current roles with Arts Tasmania.
